The geographical national database covering the whole province was built
[Abstract]:
Recently, the Sichuan Province's first National Summarizing and Commendation of Geographical Surveys was held in Chengdu. The reporter learned from the meeting that for about four years, the province’s first national census of geographical conditions has successfully completed various tasks, drawn the first map of the geographical situation, and built a geographical national database covering the entire province.
Since the launch of the first national geographic national survey in Sichuan Province in September 2013, more than 3,500 census personnel have comprehensively identified the natural and human geography elements within the administrative region of 486,000 km2 in the province, and identified strong earthquakes in Lushan. The disaster area, geological disasters, traffic trunks and other three new census content in our province. The census work has achieved the results of "one map, one database" as the core.
At the meeting, 12 advanced collectives and 111 advanced individuals who performed outstandingly in the census and performed outstandingly were commended. Among them, the Third Surveying and Mapping Remote Sensing Institute of the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping Geographical Information and the Third Surveying and Mapping Engineering Institute of Sichuan Province were awarded the “May 1st Labor Award of Sichuan Province”. Three of Wang Shan and others were awarded the “May 1st Labor Medal of Sichuan Province”, the first in Sichuan Province. Four collectives such as the Surveying and Mapping Academy of Geography and National Conditions Monitoring Branch were awarded the title of Pioneer Workers in Sichuan Province. Six groups such as the Provincial Department of Agriculture Rural Cooperative Economic Management Office and other six groups were respectively awarded the title of Advanced Collective and Advanced Individual in the National Geographic Survey of Sichuan Province.
